Largest Insurer in Singapore Builds Service Culture with UP! Your Service

Strategic initiative engages all employees and aims to make insurer a service icon.

 

SINGAPORE, 16 February 2009: NTUC Income, the largest insurer in Singapore, is pursuing a strategic initiative to build a superior service culture by using the UP! Your Service architecture of culture building programs and services.

 

NTUC Income Chief Executive Tan Suee Chieh says, “We want customer service to be our hallmark and the UP! Your Service program is showing us how. The UP! Your Service programs are an important cornerstone of our practices, our mindset and our actions now and in the years to come.”

 

NTUC Income is Singapore's only insurance co-operative and a leading life, general and health insurer. The insurer registered one of its strongest sales performances in its history in the second half of 2008, at a time when global financial and economic turmoil were taking turns for the worse.

 

NTUC Income recently became the first and only Singapore company to emerge world champion in the prestigious 2008 Contact Center World Awards organized by global contact center industry body ContactCenterWorld.com. The company’s 400-seat contact center won the hotly contested "Best of the Best in Customer Service Award," beating competition from hundreds of companies across the world.

 

Officially launched in August 2007, this organization-wide program engages all 1500 employees throughout the organization, from senior leadership to managers and the frontline.
